American Rescue Workers Church

The American Rescue Workers was founded in 1884, re-incorporated in 1896 for the public worship of Almighty God. It is a denomination, religious and charitable in nature, organized and operated on a quasi-military pattern and is a branch of the evangelical Christian church. Its membership includes Officers (Clergy), Soldiers/Adherents (Laity), and members of varied activity groups and volunteers who serve as advisors, associates and committed participants in its service functions.

The American Rescue Workers believes in two Sacraments: baptism and the Lord's supper. Ordained commissioned officers are licensed within the organization/denomination to perform weddings, infant/child dedications, baptism, communion, and burials, as long as they do not conflict with the laws of the state in which the officer is functioning.
